Dr. Aitken reflects upon this quite often. Growing up, he was extremely blessed. Exceptional role models surrounded him. They were individuals who gave their all, day in, and day out, while expecting little to nothing in return. Yet, what really made these people shine in his eyes, was something that often goes unnoticed…. and that was their open hands. They were selfless servant leaders.

Consequently, in high school, when he discovered that there was a health career whose name literally means done by hand…. He knew the best way to honor and serve those mentors and give back to the people who had given him so much was by reaching out with an open hand. Chiropractic was the profession for him.
